This is (roughly) the text of the sermon Brian preached on June 22nd.  It covers the challenge of being a man in 2025 that lets men be authentically themselves without turning back the clock on progress women have made over the last 200+ years.  The audio of the sermon, as it was preached can be heard here.

The language of narcissism has been in our political discourse for a while, but it's been amping up.  While this is probably an accurate and worthy concern, the term is loaded and worth unpacking.  This is some of what I’ve learned studying conflict as part of my con-ed.

First, let's start with a clarity statement: Marxism is a bad idea.  That said, it's important we understand why it seemed like a good idea at the time, so when we are faced with a similar problem, we don't make the same mistakes.

This reflection might be triggering for some as it deals with LGBTQ and social justice, specifically transgender people and the recent ban in the United States on their participation in gendered sports.  Feel free to skip this one, but only if you can both love your neighbour and disagree with them.  Otherwise, challenge youself a bit.
