Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ!
There are a couple new minsitries that are worth looking into this year. The big one is an afterschool drop-in for students age 13+. You can see details in the link below. It's setup for students at CNBA, but open to people who are homeschooled or attending the Christian academy. A place to go and something to do, and homework support if needed.
I'm going to be spending more time at the St Thomas hall with "office hours." This means instead of running the roads, you can come visit me at the church. Again, a place to go and something to do, especially in this post-covid era. I have a cribbage board... A link to more info is right here.
One more new thing for this year is a blog-style, collection of "optional sermons" on topics that I have something to say about... just not in worship or from the pulpit. I've called them Writings, and currently calling them Musings, but am still open to other naming suggestions... or topics to muse about.
This year is also the 100th anniversary of the United Church of Canada. Look forward to activities this summer to celebrate this milestone of the church.
I hope this year treats you well and we find opportunities to come together in community.
God bless,
Rev. Brian Curtis
